Apache, Tomcat; Connected at Last

Well, after about 4 or 5 tries over about a 3 week period, I finally got Apache and Tomcat connected. Two or three installs, and three or four configurations later, I finally found a blog last night with about a hundred or more comments on an Apache/Tomcat connection walkthrough . A few commentors noted they had the same problem as me (after configuring the mod_jk connector module, Apache wouldn't start). One comment, about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down, had information relating to the JK Module from the Apache/Jakarta site not working with some system setups. They provided a link to another site [ XAMPP for Windows ] that provides the JK Connector module as part of its installation. After downloading, and extracting the XAMPP "" file and placing that in the modules folder, tada! Apache started right up! I can now begin playing with Struts, Tiles, Java, JSP, Beans, and more...! I could have setup MyEclipse and WebLogic , which is what I have setup at work, but fig
